First time from the opening of Arena Zagreb, the most impressive sport hall in Croatia and Zagreb, hockey games are being held. Zagreb’s beautiful Arena is a magnificent venue for various sports events, concerts and fairs. It was build during the 2009 World Men’s Handball Championship , which was held in Croatia and won the best structural design award at the World Architecture Festival.
By the name “Arena Ice Fever” audience and hockey fans will enjoy in four EBEL leauge games. Zagreb’s most popular bears on ice, the Medveščak hockey team, will host teams KAC from Klagenfurt (21.01.), Vienna Capitalsa (23.01.), Slowenian Olimpia (25.01.) and VSV from Villach (28.01.).
KHL Medveščak Zagreb is a Croatian ice hockey team. It is by far the most successful and the most popular ice hockey team in Croatia. Last season club attracted over 200,000 spectators on live matches in Dom Športova that increased the League audience by 15%.
