In the tradition of Samobor Carnival many artists will address the current socio - political situation inthe country.
186 Annual Samobor Carnival, traditionally ending 21st February 2012 on Carnival Tuesday when Prince Carnival condemnationand burning of his puppets provide a year ahead of the negative impacts.
In daily happenings from morning to late evening hours of February 11th to 21st February, we expect the participation of 2,500 children from schools and kindergartens, 800 members of local councils and their allegorical chariots, and 1,000 participants in the carnival groups from all over the Croatia. This year the traditional program on King Tomislav Square with Carnival Princess Crow, Prince Carnival fiscal and judge, visitors can expect programs at 3 locations, a program of street entertainers, the camp of the local committees and KUD’s, a special program for young people, workshops for children, and numerous other events.
